'Out Of Nowhere' | Editorial Journal | Mozambique 2014

In the summer of 2014, I travelled to Mossuril, Northern Mozambique, with four fellow students for one month, to apply our skills within Graphic Design to two charity projects. This editorial tells my personal story of how we became involved with branding a local film festival and woman’s soap co-operative, along with designing a local nursery school – through journal entries and photography. The project was in preparation for an exhibition displaying the work produced upon returning home, to show what can be done with very little tools, to change the lives of those in Mossuril.

My book was chosen by self-publishing platform, Blurb, to be amongst those featuring on their homepage:

"FiveGoToMozambique is equal parts travel journal and art book. On the surface, it tells the story of a group of five students and two tutors who travel from Scotland to Mozambique. On a deeper level, it's a study of the profound impact different cultures can have on each other"
